Teens make thousands selling homemade cookies — and donate it to Covid relief
Alice Huang, 16, and Sarah Zeng, 17, started a cookie business called Dough Re Mi when all their summer plans were cancelled due to the Covid pandemic in 2020. They've earned more than $12,000 and donated more than $8,300 to Covid relief. At first, Huang and Zeng were hoping the business would benefit their college applications. Then they realized how much they loved being entrepreneurs and helping others who "had it a lot worse."
